Step Ⅰ. 情景导入(Lead-in )
1. Enjoy a song Summer Holiday.
【设计意图】用歌曲Summer Holiday导入,勾起学生对暑假的美好回忆。
2. 老师用自己的假期相片来谈论暑假里做了些什么事情,谈论过去发生的事情。
---- Where did I  go on vacation?
---- I went to the beachvisited the Summer Palace......
【设计意图】紧接着,老师用自己假期相片和学生一起谈论假期去了那里游玩,自然地导入新课的学习。
Step Ⅱ. 新知探究(Presentation )
1. Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss guess: Where did they go on vacation?
Each picture shows something a person did in the past. Name each activity and ask students to repeat:
Stayed at home, Went to mountains, went to .. ,went to the beach,
visited my uncle, visited museums, went to summer camp
【设计意图】用图片设计模拟场景,启发学生说出自己的假期经历开展教学,引入新课。
2. Play a game. Please say quickly. If you are right, you can get two points (2分钟).
【设计意图】通过“幸运大转盘”这个游戏,让学生复习谈论假期活动的短语,而且,这样的游戏符合学生“爱玩”的心理特征,让学生在愉悦的氛围中获得新知,为后面的对话练习奠定基础。
Step III.交流展示(PairworkGroupwork)
1.Groupwork: Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss talk about “Where did they/he/she/…  go on vacation?”
【设计意图】通过小组对话活动,谈论暑假去了哪里,再次复习巩固有关暑假活动的动词短语。
2. Let’s talk about our vacation:
A: Did  you go anywhere on vacation?

A: Where did you go on vacation?

A : Who did you go with ?
B:  I…
A: What did you do ?
B: I…
A: How was your vacation ?

【设计意图】结对练习,学生用一般过去时态来谈论暑假活动及其感受,激发学生的学习兴趣和开口说英语的欲望。
3. Now, please match each phrase with one of the pictures next to the name of the
activity,point to the sample answer.  
Check the answers. Answers: 1. f  2. b  3. g  4. e 5. c  6. a  7. d
【设计意图】  再次检测巩固所学短语。
Step IV综合运用( Listening) 
1. Point to the picture on the screen.
Say: Look at the picture A. Where did Tina go on vacation? She went to mountains.
Ask: What did the person do in each picture?
2. Play the recording the first time.
3. Play the recording a second time.  
Say: There are three conversations. The people talk about what did on vacation. Listen to the recording and write numbers of the names in the right boxes of the picture.
4. Check the answers.
【设计意图】 以上这些活动的设计是为了帮助学生在2a和2b的听力活动中更好地理解听力内容。而2a和2b两个听力活动帮助学生了解听力对话的内容。
